About Dr. Lexi Fisher
Lexi Fisher, D.C., specializes in Network Chiropractic, Somato-Respiratory Integration, Wellness Classes, and Cobra Breath Meditation
Dr. Lexi Fisher has been practicing Chiropractic since 1984. Her passion is to explore how alive, healthy and vital we can be. This search has taken her to the Far East and Asia. She has studied numerous healing techniques, various styles of Yoga, meditation, and breath work, Martial Arts, personal growth, and ecstatic dance.
In 1988, Dr. Fisher founded Abundant Health Associates (AHA). During the last 22 years AHA has gone through several evolutionary changes. Now the time has come for Abundant Health Associates to blossom into our new setting as Abundant Health Wellness Center. Here we have even more opportunity and room to offer synergistic programs and techniques that enhance health and wellness. Rather than patients, we consider our clients to be our Practice Members. Practice Members are individuals who are engaging in their own healing journey and want to discover how to tap into more of the abundant well being available to them.
Dr. Lexi employs Network Chiropractic or Network Spinal Analysis (NSA). She finds NSA's gentle chiropractic approach greatly assists an individual to become aware of the tension in and along their spine. This tension is where trauma or stress has been stored. With very gentle contacts along the vertebra Lexi assists the spine to let go of the old tension patterns. As the kinks are relaxed the nervous system recovers its ability to connect and communicate to every tissue and cell of the body. The nervous system coordinates the healing and renewal of all the systems of the body. With a more free, flexible spine the body will heal, rejuvenate itself and respond to environmental stresses with more ease. During NSA care, our Practice members develop more trust in the new ways their body moves and stretches as the spine unwinds and adjusts itself.
A NSA adjustment or Network Entrainment, consists of very gentle contact to areas of the spinal column where the spinal cord is attached to the bone. As a practice member connects to this area the stored tension patterns begin to relax and a deeper breath or Respiratory Wave, washes through the area. The vertebra gently rock and free up the stored tension and experience allowing it to be integrated. Often there is spontaneous wiggling or stretching as these locked areas let go.
Along with NSA, Dr. Lexi also recomends a breathing exercise called Somato-Respiratory Integration(SRI). Under stress we either hold our breath or it becomes very shallow. With SRI we reconnect with the body's own natural rhythm by bringing awareness to where we are holding tension and the area of most ease. While focusing on the place of ease, the area of tension begins to entrain or connect with the place of peace. Kerani Marie offers SRI weekly group and private sessions.
With NSA and SRI we experience increased flexibility, increased inner awareness and an improved quality of life. When we are more aware of our body's needs and signals we make different choices. This improved relationship with ourselves supports us to make life enhancing choices which brings us more aliveness, vitality and Abundant Health.
In addition to her practice of Chiropractic, Dr. Lexi offers classes on meditation, movement and wellness in addition to longer workshops and retreats.
